The Call
In 2008 ago the Lord began to speak to me, Jennifer about a building, really a vision of a building that would be called Souled Out! I had no idea at the time, what saying YES to that vision would mean. Here we are years later and this fantastic GOD thing has taken on a life of its own.
While praying I was shown the exact layout, function, colors, purpose, and design. It was pretty astounding because again, I was not praying for a building, I was praying for Gods purpose in my life. We had just moved to Meridian Idaho the previous year from So. California, the last thing I thought I wanted would be some sort of store! But since that day GOD has shown that it is so much more than a “store.” He has faithfully brought people whom we did not know previously to partner with us in Faith and Prayer as well as financial support. He has extended our tent pegs back into So. Ca. and built even stronger allies there. It has been an amazing, scary, wonderful journey!!
The Call of God for our ministry is to be a light that shines in the darkness. To be a support system for the youth and an extension of family in the sense of providing a safe place for youth and adults alike. The “store” is really just the bait!
The Lord has lead us to a piece of property here in town where He has also spoken through His Spirit, as well as some time later, the newspaper, that this vicinity is the heart of the Treasure Valley! (Treasure Valley is the encompassing communities that make up our area.) The purpose for the store will be to generate income in order to make the ministry more self sufficient and thereby freeing up finances for tangible needs in the community, state, country, spreading to the Nations. For the Lord has also placed a mandate on our ministry according to the covenant He made with Abraham that He would Give us the Nations as our inheritance! Psalm 2:8 states that we should "ask for the Nations". Again the store is the starting point. Right now we are functioning out of our home, which will very quickly not be enough for what God has dreamed.
The facility will be 3000 sq. ft. and contain a coffee and sandwich counter to provide a place for fellowship. There will be an indoor stage for delivering the Word. The stage area will be open for bands to come and lead us in worship. As well as providing direction for the community from those in a mentoring position. There will also be offices for private prayer and mentoring with a team of seasoned individuals to provide in depth healing lead by the Holy Spirit. The overall purpose and design as well as atmosphere are to bring in the youth and train them to be disciples for Jesus! Of course we all know that it takes a community to raise a child. As it stands today so many of us as parents, siblings, and children have no community. We have raised a parent-less and grand-parentless society. Built on the foundation of Hollywood, video games, and do what feels good. Our world, (no matter how big or small your world may seem) will continue this degeneration unless we stand together and tell them it doesn’t have to be this way. Our Call is to reach this generation, bridge the gap, and show them that God is real! Jesus did shed His blood on the cross to give us all eternal life!, and that we do not have to walk this rocky road of life alone!
For those of us who did or do have some kind of parent involvement, it is not always the parents that children will turn to when faced with problems and teen issues. And that’s our heart as a ministry, to get to these young people and take them back from an empty life on a broken road. We want to make sure when we get to heaven there is only standing room!
